Don’t cut the Arts!

I have just read your article in Pugwash News [Dan Whiteway, “HE cuts hit UK Unis”, Pugwash News, Issue 37], and think that people fail to release that art courses should not be considered vulnerable, and maths and sciences courses prospering. Without art we would not have advertising, buildings, electronic products, furniture, crockery; things we rely upon. Art designs, and everything routes from a design, so cutting that design ends in no one gaining, but only everyone losing. This is why I was one of the people rallying outside University House, because injustice needs to be seen to.
