The candidates for the University of Portsmouth Students’ Union Sabbatical elections have been verified by the University of Portsmouth and have been announced.
20 candidates are vying for five Sabbatical Officer roles and a salary of at least £18,000.
The president role is being contested by two current Sabbatical Officers, VP Education and Democracy Godfrey Atuahene Junior and VP Activities Milly Youngman.
The VP Activities and VP Welfare and Community have proved the most popular roles with six nominations in each. VP Education and Democracy and VP Sport have three nominations each.
Candidates will take part in live ‘Question Time’ events in the week 5th-9th March, before voting opens on 12th March. Voting will close on the 15th March before the winners are announced at the Live Results Show in The Waterhole on 16th March.
