A free-thinking group named Innovolvement
will launch their first bi-monthly session later this month. Innovolvement
will discuss wellbeing, health and social innovation. The sessions will be a mix of open discussion and group activities, allowing students to network and gain vital contacts across a range of different courses.Students from all over the University are being encouraged to get involved in the hope that an exciting environment will encourage more people to innovate. The launch will occur on Tuesday 24th November in Third Space, upstairs in the Students’ Union and will have guest speakers, exciting performances (including one from the Bollywood Society) and delicious food and drink. The event will run from 5:30pm-7:30pm and is completely open to the public.
Joshua Herbert, one of the organisers of the event told The Galleon: “Innovolvement will act as an amazing opportunity for students to network with each other, outside their initial course/faculty.
“An equal platform where ideas can be discussed and worked on as part of a team. Building on similar successful innovation groups, such as The Bridge Club at Brighton University, we’re excited to bring this trans-disciplinary approach of working to Portsmouth. Engagement with internal and external business’ will provide students with vital networks for their future career paths.
“A fun and informal group that will benefit student’s futures. We look forward to welcoming you to our launch and to the following sessions.”
