Beauty Advent Calendars 2016

The 1st December means a lot to any child as the countdown to Christmas begins. Before the sleepy dust has even been wiped from their eyes, the first door on the advent calendar is opened to reveal the first of many treats this year. However, chocolate is long gone, now replacing our standard Cadbury calendars with the new craze, beauty advent calendars. As always, there are a range of beauty calendars on the market from Jo Malone and Lush to Make Up Revolution. The top ‘must have’ beauty calendars have been rounded up leaving you to decide which of the ones featured you want to get your hands on.

Jo Malone – £280

With a take on the company’s British tradition, this calendar is jam packed with miniature sized favourites, including bath oils and Malone’s famous scented candles. The calendar itself is on the pricey side, but be reassured that this beautiful Georgian Townhouse is worth the indulgence this Christmas.

Makeup Revolution – £30 (was £40)

This calendar is perfect for any makeup lover. With over 25 full sized products, working out to cost about £1 a piece, it surely is cost effective and will not have a drastic impact upon bank balances – like many other calendars will. It is also important to note that high street store Superdrug have been reducing the prices of their advent calendars stocked online, so be quick and grab a bargain.

Lush £52.95

Lush seem to be making the countdown to Christmas a lot more bearable this year with their 12 days of Christmas calendar. Filled with some of Lush’s signature bath bombs and bubble bars, sparkly waters and festive scents are guaranteed to keep anyone calm and relaxed during this hectic Yuletide season.

Feel Unique – £32

The beautifully illustrated Feel Unique ‘Magic of Beauty’ calendar has been created in collaboration with fashion illustrator Meredith Wing. Unlike other beauty calendars on the market, Feel Unique have tailored all products for the girl that enjoys both high end and high street beauty and skincare, including beauty brands: Nuxe, Balance Me, Rimmel and Bourjois.

Ciate – £50

The infamous Ciate advent calendar has been going for years and continues to move from strength to strength, making it the perfect treat for Mani Month. The calendar contains 22 miniature polishes in a range of finishes, one full sized polish and a nail file. Decorating nails for Christmas just got real exciting.Image result for ciate advent calendar

Probably the most famous beauty calendars of them all, and with 3 different deluxe editions to decide from, you really are spoilt for choice.  As always, the calendars are packed with body scrubs, skin care products and the odd lipstick, perfect for all of the pre-Christmas party pampering.

Charlotte Tilbury – £150

Another luxury beauty calendar with 12 magical makeup cabinets, featuring Tilbury’s most famous products including a full sized kissing lipstick and mini magic cream. Again, another luxury  calendar, but that just means it’s full of Christmas magic.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics – £12 (was £25)

YouTube sensation Tanya Burr’s, cheap and cheerful advent calendar is perfect for a sibling that is just getting to grips with makeup. All of the products featured in the calendar are limited edition and are laced with glitter and named appropriately for the festive season.
